We constantly aim to provide engaging ways for our students to get the most out of their year. The most unique thing about the Youth Alive Leadership Academy, is the vast range of experiences on offer. From being behind the scenes during Youth Alive events, to a spiritual intensive in the most beautiful location and back to the classroom, our pace offers so much variety.

Even when in the classroom, our various teaching methods keep students engaged. Our guests are experts in their field, whether it be on theology, leadership or learning about current youth issues.

The interning component includes loads of hands-on experience, which are reflected upon your studies, including certain assessment pieces.

INTERN LOCAL CHURCH

Students are required to complete the equivalent of one day a week interning in their local church. This is negotiated with your pastor and the Academy staff.

INTERN YOUTH ALIVE

Students intern with our Youth Alive team around events during the year. Students must therefore be aware of when these events are on and be available accordingly.

Every year, all of our Academy students from around the country come together for a Spiritual Intensive. Held in the beautiful, relaxing backdrop of the Gold Coast, this has become one of the most memorable and favourite activities of past YA Academy Students. Not only is it an opportunity to make friends with other students around the country and have a stack of fun, but memorable moments are made as we encounter God in a powerful way together.

Youth Alive is the largest youth movement in the country, so it is an incredible experience for students to be involved at grass roots level. During the year you will be behind the scenes in all Youth Alive gatherings and events. As much as possible, we allow students to be involved in areas that interest them.

Youth Alive provides some of the best leadership development and training. Students are invited to be up close and personal through hands - on experiences at these events. These are held at regional, state and national levels.
